Description:

The aim of this Diploma in Furniture Restoration is to enable the course member to recognise and salvage useable pieces of furniture and to enable you to perform small repairs, to strip to the original and to polish to a standard to suit the individual requirements. Through the course, you will be introduced to a variety of woods and veneers with a range of finishes and in the first term of the course it should be possible for the course member to develop the skills necessary to carry out basic renovation of your own furniture and repair damage and blemishes that occur through daily use.

Who is this Course for?

As there is no experience and qualification required for this course, it is available for all students from any academic background.

Entry Requirement:

• This course is available to all learners, of all academic backgrounds.
• Learners should be aged 16 or over to undertake the qualification.
• Good understanding of the English language, numeracy and ICT are required to attend this course.
