  11. Informative, Great for complete beginners

This course is great for people entirely new to the subject. The teacher encourages you to just experiment and be creative which is ideal and needed to help you come to grips with your mistakes and learning from them so that you can improve. The theory side to the course is great and the graphic design process is essential and covered to a detailed amount which is great.
The teacher herself is caring for her students development which is probably the most important trait you could ask for when being guided in a new subject. Her past experience in graphic design is sufficient and valuable enough to be able to teach the courses.

In terms of structure it felt like the teacher was winging it and going with the flow. Some things covered could simply be learned from a youtube video tutorial. She didn’t have much knowledge of the tool bar (However a valid point was made not all tools are required/necessary depending on the design being made). Also, it felt some things she had explained she didn’t have much confidence in what she knew she was talking about (in only 2-3 areas).
In terms of resource preparation the live class at the time had added useful links to websites for design briefs to work with – something the teacher hadn’t considered, however she did suggest other various useful sites which balanced the scales.

The audio throughout the videos were nice and clear (although the unfortunate cold and constant sniffling/coughing the teacher had for about 4-5 videos made it difficult to continue listening). Visually there was a delay that altered between 1-3 seconds – so if a topic was touched upon briefly it would be heard but not seen, decreasing the learning value slightly.

IN A NUTSHELL – It’s a great course to do if you’re not aware of the subject or would like to retouch on it after a few years of the mental dust piling up on certain topics. The value of the course is reflected best when it’s discounted at a fairer price – Current £175 is extremely steep, I paid £10 as part of a black friday promotion which was an enticing bargain and the information gained was valuable enough for me to consider it a worthwhile investment of time.
