Overview

This Diploma in Renewable Energy aims to introduce you to the whole area of energy sustainability, climate change and renewable energy technologies. Through the course you will learn the connection between energy use and sustainability, how current energy use is contributing to global climate change, the difference between renewable and non-renewable energy sources, how to identify and distinguish between different forms of renewable energy, and understand the advantages and disadvantages of different renewable energy sources.

The course includes wind power, photovoltaics, solar and thermal energy, and grid integration. This knowledge can be an asset for professionals who are called on to evaluate the suitability of various sustainable energy options.

Who is this Course for?

As there is no experience and qualification required for this course, it is available for all students from any academic background.

Entry Requirement:

• This course is available to all learners, of all academic backgrounds.
• Learners should be aged 16 or over to undertake the qualification.
• Good understanding of the English language, numeracy and ICT are required to attend this course.
